Can Apleona leave the Russian market?

In October 2019 EQT investing company declared the possible sell of Facility Management operator.

EQT bought Building and Facility subdivision from Bilfinger in 2016.

In February 2020 Bilfinger CEO Tom Blades presented Bilfinger development plan in Dusseldorf (Germany). Among other things he mentioned possible sell of Apleona and named potential buyers: Spie, Leadec, Brand Safway and Fluor.

How can these news affect Apleona’s work in Russia? Viktor Efremov, General director of Apleona HSG LLC, explains: “We work in Russia from 1997 and during these 23 years we changed our name several times. We started as Servico technische Betriebsfuehrung und Buerodienste GmbH, than became M+W Zander Facility Management, HSG Zander, Bilfinger HSG Facility Management. Finally we continued as Apleona HSG. Our brand changes always were driven by global company changes and has never caused any inconvenience for our clients. So if now we are sold again, Apleona will continue its work in Russia. The only thing that can happen is new rebranding”.
